Bertichères Castle was built in the 15th and 16th century.
Sainte Eutrope, a 12th century chapel formerly worshipped by pilgrims, is open for visits in the park.
King Louis the 14th's brother, reverently known as Monsieur, lived in the castle and the Iron Mask mystery still hangs around the place.
Its tranquillity remained unspoilt throughout the ages and it is now a place for relaxation and fulfilment in a quiet countryside equally divided between woods, fields and meadows.
